Role Description Purpose:

To run the NeoNorwich day to day sales activities and support the growth of the business.

Responsibilities include promoting events, driving increased membership (both customers and local business membership), and arranging weekly special offers for customers.

Context
• NeoNorwich is the events organising and social networking service for Norwich and the surrounding area. We provide customers with special offers (through ‘Weekly Winks’), fun-packed events, a free activity/party planner service, a skills exchange service and news on local job offers.

• NeoNorwich strive to get people out and about meeting new people and trying new things at a price they can afford, whilst working with local businesses to provide them with increased custom. It’s an online community for the people of Norwich.

• NeoNorwich is the original Neo. We also operate within Birmingham and are expanding to six other cities by the end of 2012.

Dimensions
• Responsible for identifying and agreeing new special offers to customers (Weekly Winks).

• Responsible for identifying and agreeing event promotions (i.e. Neo promoting events which are being run by other businesses).

• Responsible for identifying and agreeing job listings (i.e. Neo promoting jobs that are available at local businesses).

• Responsible for identifying and agreeing new deals with local businesses to become a ‘preferred venue’, which provides them with discounts on the services we offer to them.  Subsquently manage the relationship with those businesses.

Hours/Rate
• The role is home based using your own PC/Laptop. There may be occasional travel into Norwich city centre.

• Hours of work are flexible with the majority of hours performed during the day.

• The role operates on a generous commission basis. This usually equates to £15 an hour depending on how many sales are made.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

Skills and Knowledge
• Good relationship management skills

• Strong sales, influencing and negotiating skills

• Strong communications skills (coherent and articulate both in the written word and orally)

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

Qualifications
• Experience in the events/leisure industry
